Greetings Men – Thanks for all you are doing to help make the Myrtle Beach work project happen. God is doing some really neat things in Myrtle Beach – facility wise and people wise – and it is a joy to be a part of it. I am confident that God will use and bless the men who participate.
Regarding accommodations for the C&MA Men’s workday June 16 please note:
- The small group of people at MB has beds for a maximum of four men. Please confirm these arrangements with Pastor Steve VanAmburg (843.236.3949).
- The best price we could find at a local hotel was the Comfort Suites in MB/Conway. Our price for two queen beds is $87.99. The price for one king bed with sofa sleeper is $79.99. These prices are good for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. This is considerably less than the going rates in town which are $119 - $129 per night for this time of year in this and similar facilities. Men must register directly with the Comfort Suites at 843.347.9292. They must identify themselves as a member of the Alliance Men’s group to secure this price. The Comfort Suites is located at 2480 US Hwy 501 East, Conway, SC 29526. It is right on the main highway going into MB and is only a 3-4 miles from the church. (I have personally registered here for Thursday through Sunday nights.)
- The church address is 211 Forestbrook Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. Mapquest provides accurate directions.
The District C&MA Men are recruiting volunteers to help update our church facility in Myrtle Beach. It could use some help after nearly 30 years! The new pastor, Rev. Steve VanAmburg began Easter Sunday and will be leading this small body of committed believers through a transitional period culminating in a re-launch under the name Genesis Church in early September. The goal is to update the sanctuary and building exterior to provide an inviting worship environment and fresh appearance to the community.
Men are needed to help with carpentry (reconfigure platform and expand sound-booth), drywall, carpet removal, and interior and exterior painting. A good number of men will be needed to complete the work in one full day. Could you bring a car load of men from your church?
